WhatsApp messenger warns its users about new policy

WhatsApp already has a new update that all its users must accept to continue in the platform. This update was to hit the public in January. However, this didn't happen due to the public outburst with regards to the somewhat controversial update. The company has now given users until May 15 to decide on the new terms. If you do not accept the new terms and conditions on or before this date, WhatsApp will block you from sending or receiving any messages via the platform, Report informs referring to Gizchina.com.

In an email to one of its merchant partners, Facebook-owned WhatsApp said it would 'slowly ask' such users to comply with the new terms 'to have full functionality of WhatsApp' starting May 15". "If they still don't accept the terms, 'for a short time (later defined as "a few weeks"), these users will be able to receive calls and notifications but will not be able to read or send messages from the app. WhatsApp's policy for inactive users states that accounts are 'generally deleted after 120 days of inactivity."
