Uzbekistan proposes developing a Concept of a digital trade corridor for the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Azamat Toshev, head of the Economic Research Department at Uzbekistan"s International Institute of Central Asia, said.
According to Report, speaking at the 2nd International Conference of Leading National Think Tanks of the Organization of Turkic States in Baku, Toshev said Uzbekistan has prepared a number of proposals to develop technological and digital cooperation:
"First, a Strategic Cooperation Network in the field of technological and digital development, including artificial intelligence, should be established within the OTS. This area remains a priority. Partnership in AI, digital public services, fintech, cybersecurity and logistics can open up new opportunities for practical cooperation."
Toshev noted that, to further strengthen cooperation, Uzbekistan"s initiative will see the OTS Technology Forum held on September 22–25:
"The forum will focus on developing cross-border innovations, creating common digital infrastructure, as well as finding ways to integrate the startup ecosystems of the OTS member states into a single regional market."
