Azerbaijan and Ukraine intend to cooperate in developing 4G networks, the First Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy, MP Yaroslav Yurchyshyn, told Report.
"Work to attract Azerbaijani investors to this field is now close to the final stage. Why is this important to us? In Ukraine, mobile communication services are not very expensive compared with other European countries, but they are promising. A part of our territory is not covered by mobile communication. At the same time, the strategic tendencies for digitalization, for transforming public services, for introducing into the IT sphere, give great prospects," he noted.
According to Yurchyshyn, infrastructure projects, particularly the construction of highways, are also a promising area for the development of bilateral cooperation. Azerbaijan has good experience in this area.
Referring to cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine in the energy sector, he noted that the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is the most successful among foreign investors in this direction.
"After SOCAR's appearance in Ukraine, many of my motorist friends started talking about the improved quality of petroleum products in Ukraine," Yurchyshyn said.
