Baku is hosting the first business meeting of space agencies and respective structures of the member-states and observers in the Organization of Turkic States.
Report informs that Chairman of the Board of the Space Agency (Azercosmos) under Azerbaijan's Ministry of Digital Development and Transport Samaddin Asadov said that the main aim of the session is a closer familiarization with the national programs of the Turkic-speaking states in cosmic sphere, deeper studies of the plans, determination of the opportunities for cooperation.
Board Chairman of the Turkish cosmic agency Sardar Huseyn Yildirim suggested cooperating in the production of satellite platforms and in other directions of the cosmic sphere.
"The activity of every country in separate requires too many costs for each of them. But through their joint cooperation, the seven states can create a powerful cosmic alliance. Our goals are peaceful in nature," he said.
The Organization of Turkic States was established in 2009. Presided by Bagdad Amreyev, the structure has five members (Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan) and two observers - Hungary and Turkmenistan.
