Panasonic CEO to step down from his positions

Panasonic Corp. said Friday that President and CEO Kazuhiro Tsuga would step down from his positions by June next year while it will transform into a holding company in April 2022.

The Japanese electronics giant said Managing Executive Officer Yuki Kusumi would replace Tsuga as CEO on April 1 and as president on June 24.

Panasonic also said it plans to change its name to Panasonic Holdings Corp. after transforming into a holding company while using the current name for an operating firm to be newly established.
