Telegram adds a video calling for beta users

Telegram is a cloud-based instant messaging and voice over IP service. Telegram client apps are available for Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Windows, macOS, and GNU/Linux. Users can send messages and exchange photos, videos, stickers, audio, and files of any type.

Previously Telegram developers released a new update that allows users to send files up to 2GB, upload profile videos, and much more. Moreover, the messenger services also carry a redesigned music player specifically for Android users.

After millions of requests and spams from the popular forums and support page, Telegram has released the most requested and awaited feature that almost all social media and messenger services have. The lack of video calling and group video calling support on the popular app forced users to rely on other messengers like WhatsApp and Google Duo, hopefully, which has come to an end.

At the start of 2020, the messenger service said that it would bring the video calling support within a year. Telegram is now rolling out version 7.0.0 on the beta channel, and it brings video calling support to other things.

The interface is straightforward with options to flip between front and rear cams, turn off the video, mute, and hang up, tapping the window in the bottom right switches between the two participants. While Telegram hasn’t officially announced anything about the video calling feature yet, we can expect that the update will be made public soon.
