Tajikistan's mobile operator to use Azerspace-2 satellite

The Space Agency (Azercosmos) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan has signed a cooperation agreement with Tajikistan's mobile operator ZET Mobile, Report informs, citing Azercosmos.

According to the agency, ZET Mobile provide high-quality communication services in remote regions of Tajikistan using the Azerspace-2 satellite.

Access to communication services in Tajikistan is mostly limited to large cities. Cooperation with Azercosmos will contribute to both Tajikistan's digital infrastructure and socio-economic development in remote areas.

ZET Mobile, by using the services of the Azerspace-2 satellite, will create opportunities for its customers to benefit from communication and internet services in vehicles, public and private institutions, as well as in remote settlements.
