SpaceX satellites to be able to provide internet in Azerbaijan

A cooperation agreement was signed today in Baku between the Space Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (Azercosmos) and the US company SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies Corporation), Report informs.

Sameddin Asadov, Chairman of the Board of Azercosmos, and Gwynne Shotwell, the president and chief operating officer of SpaceX, inked the contract.

An agreement was reached between Azercosmos and SpaceX on the resale of the company's Starlink broadband satellite internet service in Azerbaijan.

Starlink satellite internet services, which have already been successfully tested in Azerbaijan by Azercosmos, can be used at sea, on land, on railways and other transport lines, in work and information centers in remote areas, in short, in areas without sufficient Internet coverage.
