A satellite developed by Azerbaijani schoolchildren will be launched into orbit in 2025, Chairman of Azercosmos Samaddin Asadov said at the panel titled "Synergy that Turns Knowledge into Value" organized within the framework of the Education Development Forum, Report informs.
Asadov noted that the preparation of this project agreed upon in discussions with the Ministry of Science and Education, has already begun.
"The implementation of this project will take 8-9 months. It is planned to be launched into orbit with a rocket of the US company Space X. Of course, we have other projects as well. This includes holding olympiads related to space technologies and future satellite projects aimed at university students," - the head of Azercosmos stated.
