Polish official: Popularization of computer use presents some challenges

As the use of computers becomes increasingly widespread, there are growing concerns about the potential threats associated with this trend, Michal Greczylo, the head of the Political and Economic Department at Poland's Embassy in Azerbaijan, said at the International Cybersecurity Days (ICSD-2024) conference titled "Cybersecurity for a Green Economy" held in Baku, Report informs.

"Cybersecurity is a pressing topic in today's rapidly changing world," Grechilo stated. "The popularization of computer usage presents both significant challenges and opportunities related to potential threats. We must make a choice and take appropriate steps towards cybersecurity while harnessing these opportunities."

The Polish official also voiced his country's intentions to regulate the cybersecurity sector. "I would like to emphasize that secure and sustainable digital development is a crucial goal for Poland. It is essential that the rules we develop in this area are effective in practice, as everyone needs to have a clear understanding of the regulations," he added.
