New chief appointed to Electronic Security Service

Samir Rasulov has been appointed the new head of the Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.

Report informs that Rasulov previously worked as the deputy head and acting head of the service.

In this position, he replaced Shahin Aliyev, who was appointed advisor to the Chairman of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development.

The Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport was established according to the presidential decree of September 26, 2012. The Service is a state body that coordinates the activities of information infrastructure entities in the field of cybersecurity, notifying about existing and potential electronic threats at the country level, informing the public, private and other structures in the field of cybersecurity and providing them with methodological assistance.
