Minister: By developing its own technology, Türkiye demonstrates that it is not afraid of anyone

Türkiye intends to continue developing the technological sector, thereby demonstrating to the whole world that it is not afraid of anyone, Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacir told Report.

The minister noted that Türkiye faced sanctions after the Cyprus Peace Operation in 1974. "At that time, our military was not even supplied with radio receivers from abroad. They thought that the Turks would not be able to develop and produce such devices on their own. However, thanks to the determination of the people, we were able to develop and establish the production of radio receivers. Later, devices with digital and encrypted communication were created," Kacir said.

The minister stressed that today, Türkiye is among 11 countries capable of producing their own telecommunications satellites. "We will continue on this path," he added.
