Cybersecurity is not a single mission and requires collective defence, a Huawei official said.
Report informs that Corey Deng, chief cybersecurity and privacy officer for the Middle East and Central Asia region at Huawei Technologies, made the remarks during panel discussions held as part of the 4th National Cybersecurity Forum in Baku.
"When we talk about the importance of cybersecurity, it is as if you are building a digital skyline. The higher we build, the deeper and stronger the foundation must be. Cybersecurity is, in fact, that cornerstone. New technologies, especially artificial intelligence, are the main driving force here. This is highly disruptive not only for information technology, but also for the security industry. Post-quantum cryptography will also be the next challenge for our security industry," he said.
Deng said artificial intelligence was a game changer.
"Attackers will definitely use artificial intelligence. Who will be faster? Who will be more skilled at using artificial intelligence? Another important point I want to emphasize is that we cannot rely on artificial intelligence only at the final stage, namely secure operation. We must adopt artificial intelligence starting from product design, product development and product verification," he said.
