Cyber attacks on Azerbaijani state bodies nearly tripled in June

In January-June 2024, the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of Azerbaijan identified 498 cyber attacks (indicators of compromise -IOCs) against state bodies in the country, which is 25% fewer year-on-year, Report informs.

As many as 214 cyber threats were identified and blocked based on internal investigation, and 284 based on investigation of incidents reported by government agencies.

In June alone, 132 cyberattacks were identified, which is 2.6 times more than in the previous month.

During the reporting period, 445.75 million malicious links were blocked on the AzStateNet network, nearly 2.3 million malicious electronic documents were blocked through the central antivirus system installed on end users, while 162,172 malicious electronic documents were blocked through the Sandbox protection system.
