The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has prepared a concept for digital transformation, which is a key factor towards an innovative society.
Report informs, citing the Russian media that Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rovshan Rustamov said.
According to Rustamov, the creation of a modern innovation space is one of the priority areas of the government, which is reflected in the program "Azerbaijan 2030: National priorities for socio-economic development".
“What is included in digital transformation? First, digital government, which provides better services and better governance through digital technologies; second, the digital economy, which allows you to automate processes, create digital products and make more accurate forecasts, and finally, thirdly, the path to a digital society in which people have digital skills, entrepreneurs have access to open data, and value is created through innovation based on open data,” Rustamov said.
This is a rather long, multi-stage, and multi-stage process, which requires the concept of digital transformation, modern IT infrastructure, and qualified personnel, the deputy minister believes. It is also required to ensure the cybersecurity of the digital infrastructure and the management, coordination, and regulation of all these processes.
The ministry has developed an optimal concept for this process, which involves the digitalization of society as a whole: improving the digital skills and habits of citizens, promoting the digitalization of business, and comprehensively developing regulatory mechanisms in the ICT sector. The concept is being coordinated with various state structures, Rustamov noted.
