AzInTelecom, Aztelekom and Azerpost form unified digital ecosystem

Work is underway on the formation of a unified ecosystem between AzInTelecom LLC, Aztelekom LLC, and Azerpost LLC, stated Shahin Babayev, Executive Director of AZCON Holding, in an interview with Report.

According to him, within the Holding, alongside telecommunications and transport directions, work is being carried out on implementing internal processes in a synergistic manner: "Attracting specialized experts is a rather difficult process, and for this reason, synergy is applied in several areas. Competence centers have already been established within the Holding. This particularly covers the fields of artificial intelligence, information technology, and digitalization. In addition, there is synergy in the coordination of procurement processes and relations with international partners. AZCON, as a unified Holding, acts as a larger-scale and strategic partner. This creates the foundation for both cost optimization and the expansion of access to more advanced technological solutions."

Babayev noted that cloud technologies, artificial intelligence infrastructure, and sustainable communication networks have already become fundamental pillars of the digital state and economy: "First of all, attention should be paid to projects implemented in the direction of cloud services. In order to benefit from cloud services, 287 organizations have been integrated into AzInTelecom's operating data center to date. Of these organizations, 147 belong to government structures, and 140 belong to the private sector. Additionally, within the framework of the Government Cloud project aimed at increasing existing capacity, the construction of a two-module data center encompassing new primary and backup data centers is still ongoing. This approach will significantly strengthen both the continuity of provided services and cybersecurity protection. Another important direction is the field of artificial intelligence, which necessitates the intensive development of data technologies. The Supercomputer Center, established for the first time in the country by AzInTelecom, contributes to the advancement of this very field."
