Azercosmos to provide satellite services in Botswana

The Space Agency (Azercosmos) under the Digital Development and Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan has started cooperation with the Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana, Report informs, citing the agency.

Azercosmos noted that thanks to the long-term partnership agreement signed between the parties, ground communication and data services of Azerspace-1 satellite will be provided in Botswana.

The provision of satellite data service to Botswana on the African beam of the C broadcast band of the Azerspace-1 satellite is being implemented for the first time.

Azercosmos provides satellite services to 6 out of 13 countries located in Southern Africa alone. This partnership established with Botswana will expand the use of Azerspace satellite services in large-scale data projects in southern African countries.
