Azercosmos and Italian Leaf Space expanding cooperation

A new cooperation agreement has been signed between the Space Agency under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (Azercosmos) and Italy's ground control service provider Leaf Space, Report informs, citing Azercosmos.

According to the agreement, a 3.7-meter S/X band antenna has been installed at Azercosmos' Main Ground Satellite Control Center in Baku teleport.

The modern antenna system installed at the ground station provides extensive capabilities for processing and transmitting critical data collected from various satellites, controlling satellite networks, and monitoring devices in space. Azercosmos' multifunctional teleport provides VNO (Virtual Network Operator), VSAT (very-small-aperture terminal), data, communication services, and solutions to customers from European, Asian, and African countries. The geographical location of the Baku teleport is favorable for both operational and commercial purposes for new and permanent customers. The teleport is stable according to the required standards.

This antenna system is Leaf Space's second successful infrastructure project invested in Azerbaijan. In 2022, the company installed a 3.7-meter S/X band ground antenna at the Baku teleport. Both installed antennas allow Leaf Space to obtain data from various satellites passing over Azerbaijan.
