Azerbaijan to establish cyber ​​diplomacy twinning center

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security of Azerbaijan, the Institute for Development and Diplomacy and the Romanian National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest), Report informs referring to the State Service.

The memorandum was signed within the International Conference on Cyber ​​Diplomacy, which is being held in Azerbaijan for the first time.

According to the document, the Twinning Center for Cyber ​​Diplomacy will start operating in Azerbaijan with the aim of promoting research, education and skills development in this area, expanding international cooperation and interaction in the field of cyber diplomacy, information security and digital governance through research and educational initiatives.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Deputy Head of the State Service Major General Allahveren Ismayilov, Director of the Institute for Development and Diplomacy Fariz Ismayilzade and Academic Director of the ICI Bucharest University Dr. Carmen Elena Cirnu.

The signatories to the document noted the importance of exchanging experience and knowledge in cyber diplomacy, as well as developing information security programs.
