Azerbaijan, Romania discuss countering "deepfakes"

Azerbaijan discussed mechanisms to combat "deepfakes" and disinformation with Romania.

Report informs, citing the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security, that the discussions were attended by Department Head Lieutenant General Ilgar Musayev and the head of Romania's National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics, Adrian Victor Vevera.

The parties also exchanged views on the activities of the International Center for Cyber Diplomacy, development of training programs for leaders, implementation of the NATO-approved Cyber Polygon project, as well as the implementation of several joint projects.

In April 2023, the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security and Romania's National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics signed a Memorandum of Mutual Understanding.
