Azerbaijan re-elected as member of OIC-CERT directorial board

The Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT.gov.az) of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of Azerbaijan has been re-elected as a member of the directorial board of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's Computer Emergency Response Teams (OIC-CERT) for another 4-year term, Report informs, citing the state service.

As reported, during the 11th general assembly of OIC-CERT held in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, activity reports for 2023-2024 from the Secretariat and Board member states were heard, current issues were discussed, and new members were announced.

The state service representative Murad Balayev, who participated in the meeting, provided detailed information about the work carried out by the Computer Emergency Response Center in the fourth strategic direction - Technical and Technology field, which is led by Azerbaijan.

Additionally, the International Conference on Cyber Diplomacy held in Azerbaijan was discussed, and the board highly appreciated Azerbaijan's hosting of such a prestigious international event, which was the first of its kind in the region. It was emphasized that such events are important in terms of cyber diplomacy's role in information security, and this field will have a special place in the organization's international cooperation activities.
