Azerbaijan's Ministry of Digital Development and Transport plans to simplify the procedures for importing drones and registering electronic devices this year, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rovshan Rustamov said at a seminar on the priorities in the field of digital development and transport in Azerbaijan in Baku.
"Today, bureaucratic obstacles hinder new technology. This year, our goal is to simplify issues such as bringing drones into the country," Rustamov noted.
According to him, the first step will be to digitize to simplify procedures:
"We intend to simplify as much as possible. The first step is to implement digital transformation. What new technology will a startup that does not apply technology and does not have access to it create?! The same problem is related to the registration of electronic devices. Let's talk about ordinary, basic radio receivers. It is necessary to apply to three agencies of our ministry to bring them to the country and register. In addition, the consent of external agencies is required. It takes 2-3 months for entrepreneurs. Specific directions have already been identified. This includes both the simplification of procedures and their implementation on the basis of an online application through a single portal, and we plan to fully implement the process this year."
