Azerbaijan joins Board of Directors of OIC-CERT

The representative of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service (CERT.GOV.AZ) was elected a member of the Board of Directors of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) - Computer Emergency Response Team (OIC-CERT).

Elections to the Board of Directors took place at the 10th Congress of the organization in Muscat, Oman.

According to the results of the elections, Tural Mammadov, head of the State Service, was elected a member of the Board of Directors for the next 2-year term.

The active and productive activity of Azerbaijan as a member of the Board of Directors over the past years, as well as its support to the development of the field and other member country CERTs both in terms of cooperation and as a representative of the board, including high-level hosting of the international conference of OIC countries CERTs in 2017, were highly appreciated at the congress.

CERT.GOV.AZ, a full member of OIC-CERT since 2013, has continued its activities as a member of the Board of Directors from the 8th Congress of OIC-CERT held in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2016.

The United Arab Emirates was chosen as the host for the next 2023 International Conference of OIC-CERT after evaluating the proposals from member countries at the congress.
