Azerbaijan creates science, industry cluster within dev’t of digital economy

Joint efforts to create a science and industry cluster will continue for the development of the digital economy in Azerbaijan within the framework of the MoU signed between SABAH.Hub Innovation Center and Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) under Azerbaijan’s Economy Ministry, Report informs.

The memorandum was signed by the executive director of C4IR Fariz Jafarov and the CEO of SABAH.HUB Rahim Bayramli within Baku ID festival.

The MoU aims to support the development of the local startup ecosystem within the framework of the development of the digital economy in Azerbaijan and cooperation in this field.

The memorandum outlines cooperation between the parties for developing Azerbaijan’s innovation ecosystem, establishing dual diploma programs in artificial intelligence with international and local universities, attracting experienced talent to the country, and implementing research and training initiatives.

The document also includes cooperation with the Global Innovators community of the World Economic Forum (WEF) on the implementation of a similar practice in Azerbaijan.

C4IR and SABAH.HUB will cooperate with the Unicorns and Technology Pioneers communities of WEF and support the membership of Azerbaijani startups in those communities.
