Azerbaijan adopts state standards related to artificial intelligence

The Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND), under the State Service for Antimonopoly Control and Consumer Market Supervision under the Ministry of Economy, has adopted state standards AZS ISO/IEC TR 24028:2024 Information Technology - Artificial Intelligence - Overview of AI Trustworthiness and AZS ISO/IEC TR 24372:2024 Information Technology - Artificial Intelligence (AI) - Overview of Computational Approaches for AI Systems, Report informs.

According to the state service, these state standards define AI system trustworthiness topics, including the basic computational characteristics of these systems, and the essential algorithms and approaches used in them.

The purpose of implementing the new state standards is to create common rules and guidelines for proper functioning of AI systems across different platforms and fields, as well as to ensure their interoperability.

The new state standards were discussed in the Technical Committee for Information and Communication Technologies Standardization (AZSTAND/TK 05) and were approved by the Institute and included in the State Fund of Standardization Normative Documents.
