Ambassador: Turkey wants to create techno village in Azerbaijan

"The technical director of the Turkish company Baykar, Seljuk Bayraktar, and his team will return to Baku to discuss areas of cooperation with Azerbaijan. It is expected that cooperation will be established with universities to create a technology village in Azerbaijan," Report informs, citing Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci.

"This requires software and a technical infrastructure for production, in connection with which, young people must first study theories and practical aspects at universities. In the near future, we will hear preliminary information on these topics from Seljuk Bayraktar," the ambassador said.

"Bayraktar is the pride of Turkey. Baykar Makina is one of the top three world brands in the military industry. The company employs more than 3,000 engineers. Young people from all over the world work at Baykar Makina. Among these engineers are our Azerbaijani brothers," Bagci added.

The ambassador said that TEKNOFEST held in Baku last week is an important event.

“Baykar's intention to invest in new projects in Azerbaijan will give a new impetus to the development of technology. This step will also increase the interest of young people in technology and contribute to the development of this sector in Azerbaijan."
