The 3rd backbone internet provider (Backbone), which connects Azerbaijan to the international internet network, enters the Internet market of Azerbaijan.
Report informs, citing sources in the government, that work is underway to transfer this authority to Aztelecom LLC, which is subordinate to the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
In response to Report's inquiry, Aztelecom said that it is currently investigating possible possibilities:
"In order to ensure healthy competition in the field of telecommunications in the country, the function of different operators is an important factor. As Aztelecom LLC, we are interested in providing high-quality service to customers in the market, and we evaluate possible opportunities for applying high technologies of the current era. We aim to capitalize on these opportunities in our long-term growth strategy to meet current customer demands."
