Intensive work is currently underway towards the restoration of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, the study of phytosanitary conditions and inclusion of lands in crop rotation, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AFSA) Goshgar Tahmazli said speaking at the regional event on "Plant health innovations for food safety" held in Baku, Report informs.
According to him, in the future, it is planned to create zones free of harmful organisms in these areas: "In addition, taking into account the reforms, modern challenges and the participation of international experts, a new bill 'On plant health' is being prepared. We are confident that this will significantly contribute to ensuring plant health and food safety in Azerbaijan and regionally."
