WHO recommends that countries use AstraZeneca vaccine

The WHO Global Advisory Committee on Vaccine Safety (GACVS), European Medicines Agency, and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) have made a statement on the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The office of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Azerbaijan told Report that, according to the statements issued on April 7, the organizations that carried out the analysis concluded that the benefit of the AstraZeneca vaccine outweighs the rarely fixed potential risks. The WHO recommends that countries continue the vaccination with the AstraZeneca jab, which has saved millions of lives and prevented the deadly disease.

"Safety is our top priority. WHO uses evidence that is based on scientific research to optimize the safe and effective use of vaccines. In the event of any changes in our recommendations for the use of vaccines, we will continue to inform the public promptly," the WHO Azerbaijan office said in a statement.
