WHO launches project of psychological support for people returning to liberated territories

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, together with the World Health Organization, has started a project of psychological support for the healthy integration of the population in the liberated territories, Health Minister Teymur Musayev said at the 4th panel discussion of the 11th Global Baku Forum on “Fixing the Fractured World,” Report informs.

He said that within the Great Return Program, the Azerbaijani government is doing huge work on the restoration and rebuilding of the devastated liberated territories.

According to him, the "Health for All” concept is particularly important in terms of ensuring the safe return of former internally displaced persons to their native lands: "We are entering a new era of “Health for All,” which means the active participation of everyone in a responsible way in handling health issues. The "Health for All” definition can’t be accepted as a fundamental obligation addressed only to governments. Citizens should be encouraged to take active participation in healthy lifestyle programs and share health responsibility with the governments."
