WHO hands over 3 mobile clinics to TABIB in Shamakhi

WHO has handed over three mobile health clinics and two high-capacity vehicles to the TABIB in Damirchi village of Shamakhi, Report informs.

The WHO Representative in Azerbaijan Hande Harmanci, TABIB'S Chairman Ramin Bayramli, British Ambassador to Azerbaijan James Sharp, and US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Earle Lee Litzenberger attended the event.

According to the information, it will be possible to prevent, diagnose, and examine non-communicable and infectious diseases in the region due to the mobile clinic. The mobile clinic will also be used in the fight against COVID-19 in Shamakhi.

The project was implemented with the financial support of USAID, UKAID, and UHC. TABIB, Shamakhi District Executive Power, the Ministry of Health, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and UNICEF assisted WHO Office in Azerbaijan in implementing the PROACT-Care project.

The project is planned to be implemented in other regions of the country soon.
