WHO Director-General expresses gratitude to Azerbaijan

The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, participated in a video discussion with the Non-Aligned Movement's ambassadors, organized by the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the UN Office in Geneva and other international organizations.

According to Report, he shared this on Twitter.

Noting that the discussions were fruitful, Ghebreyesus thanked Azerbaijan, which currently holds the chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement, for having a special UN session on coronavirus and the adoption of a resolution on vaccinations in the UN Human Rights Council.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has announced that the Economic Cooperation Organization member states plan to address a draft resolution on behalf of the Non-Aligned Movement at the UN Human Rights Council at the online summit on January 31. Azerbaijan has already put forward the draft resolution on ensuring fair access to COVID-19 vaccines in the Human Rights Council.
