WHO credits Azerbaijan's fight against COVID-19

The World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Europe Hans Henri Kluge praised Azerbaijan's steps taken at the national level against COVID-19.

According to Report, Kluge made the remark at a meeting with President Ilham Aliyev on April 26.

He noted that the situation with COVID-19 in Azerbaijan is constantly monitored, and the state has taken the necessary and consistent measures. He also added that Azerbaijan's vaccination policy was very successful.

Kluge said that the World Health Organization intends to continue cooperation with Azerbaijan. Noting that the organization is ready to closely contribute to the ongoing reforms in the healthcare system in Azerbaijan, the guest said that the measures taken to establish digital and e-health systems in Azerbaijan are also very positive.
