In the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, it is essential to follow infection prevention and control measures. Considering the importance of meeting the needs in this area, the WHO Office in Azerbaijan, together with the Ministry of Health and MEDICINE, conducted a mission to assess the relevant standards in the conflict-affected regions of the country.

According to Report, the mission was part of the European Union-funded Solidarity Health Initiative project implemented by the Azerbaijan WHO Office.

The mission held the assessment of the measures on screening and triage, resuscitation, obstetrics, sterilization and surgery departments, and medical waste management in medical institutions located in Barda, Tartar, Aghdam, Aghjabadi, and Fuzuli regions.
