As coronavirus spreads globally, grocery shopping has become one of the most anxiety-producing yet necessary activities for millions of people around the world. With many governments enforcing shelter-in-place orders in an attempt to stem the spread of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, heading to the store for food and essential supplies, is the only time many people leave their homes.

President of the Union of the Medical Community "National Medical Chamber" Leonid Roshal gave tips for going to the food store and other public places. According to him, firstly, shoppers must wear gloves in stores before taking the cart.

In public toilets, using napkins or toilet paper to flush water or open the door, washing hands and cleaning phones with a special antiseptic are especially important.

Moreover, it is necessary to avoid contact with people who have signs of respiratory disease, crowd, and also, keep a distance from each other up to two meters. Stop handshakes, hugs, or kisses. Roshal noted that at the moment, it is impossible to get rid of the threat completely.
