Some people ignore chest pain, but it may be a sign of a heart attack, Report informs with reference to the British Heart Foundation.
Doctors urge patients to seek immediate medical care if chest pain:
- Appeared suddenly and intensifies;
- Spreads to arms, back, neck or jaw;
- When shortness of breath or worsening of health occurs.
If chest pain does not have these characteristics, it may be caused by angina pectoris, indigestion, or muscle strain.
Other symptoms of a heart attack, according to doctors, are sweating, dizziness, sudden feelings of anxiety, excessive coughing, or wheezing due to fluid buildup in the lungs.
