UN ready to support establishment of health care in Azerbaijan's liberated lands

First Deputy Minister of Health, Acting Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan Teymur Musayev met with UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva.

Report informs that the sides underlined successful measures Azerbaijan has taken to combat the pandemic.

Azerbaijan is among the leading countries in terms of the level of vaccination.

The meeting also focused on the successful continuation of the digitalization of medical services in the country, the fight against infectious diseases, as well as the expansion of primary health care and the prospects of medical education and other issues.

Andreeva stressed readiness to support the establishment and development of the UN health care system in the territories liberated during the 44-day war.

During the conference, the sides exchanged views on the further strengthening of inter-agency relations with the Ministry of Health.
