Baku. 7 January. REPORT.AZ/ "This year in Azerbaijan will be conclusive and decisive in terms of transition to compulsory medical insurance," chairman of the Healthcare committee at Milli Majlis, academician Ahliman Amiraslanov said.
According to Report, he said it is very important to adopt amendments and alterations to the law that will create a broad legislative framework for regulation of financial and legal, as well as organizational relations.
He added that making amendments and alterations to the law 'On medical insurance' is very important for full transition to compulsory medical insurance in the country.
Notably, under the change, introduced to the law 'On medical insurance', the insurance amount of the basic part of the services package is set at AZN 29 per person for a calendar year. These costs will be covered from the state budget. The package of additional services for hired workers is stipulated at 4% of the salary with the employee and employer each to pay 2% of this amount. Persons from another category will get the right to complete medical assistance within a year by paying an insurance fee of AZN 120 per calendar year.
