According to Yagut Garayeva, head of the Disease Control and Prevention Department of the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB), the number of new infections has been on the rise over the past few days.
Report informs that speaking at a briefing of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, Garayeva said sometimes the number of infections drops on weekends.
"The infection rate was below one percent at the end of June. That was a good indicator. However, over the past few days, the number of positive test results has climbed to five percent. The case count is especially high among those aged between 30 to 39 years old. The highest morbidity is observed in Baku again. The situation remains the same in Binagadi."
