"Apart from Turkey, we are waiting for drugs from the Global Alliance for Vaccines that can vaccinate 10 percent of the population. An agreement has been signed in this regard," said Yagut Garayeva, head of the Disease Prevention and Control Department of the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB).
She noted that there is no information yet on what vaccine GAVI will give to Azerbaijan:
"We can only tell them what kind of drug we want. So we are waiting for the vaccine to be delivered from many countries. It's just a matter of time and accessibility. For example, we expect a vaccine from GAVI for April. Until then, the winter will be over. We want to be among the countries that have started to be vaccinated because it is a waste of time. Several drugs related to the virus may be introduced next year."
