New statistics of COVID-19 infections in Azerbaijan’s regions have been revealed.
Capital Baku accounts for 55.1% of all cases in the country, Report says.
Absheron (16.3%), Ganja-Gazakh region (8.4%), Aran (7.5%), Lankaran (5.8%), Guba-Khachmaz (1.6%), Shaki-Zagatala (1.4%), Yukhari Karabakh (1.2%), Daghlig Shirvan (1.62) regions follow the list.
The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has recorded no new case.
About 1.3% of cases of infection were registered among foreigners.
As for the districts of Baku, the highest rates are recorded in Binagadi (12.8%), followed by Yasamal (12.4%), Khatai (11.9%), Sabunchu (11.8%), Nasimi (10.4%), Narimanov (8.8%), Surakhani (8.7%), Nizami (8.2%), Garadagh (5.7%), Sabail (4.7%), Khazar (4.2%), and Pirallahi (0,3%).
As for the regional distribution of active cases, the rate made up 57% in Baku, 15% in Sumgayit, 6% in Absheron, 3% in Ganja, 2% in Jalilabad, 1% in Lankaran, Masalli, and Yevlakh, and 14% in other regions.
So far, Azerbaijan has reported 20,837 coronavirus cases and 258 related deaths. As many as 12,182 patients have recovered from the disease. Moreover, a total of 522,773 tests have been conducted throughout the country.
