Seven signs of silent stroke

Neurologist Aminat Dolova, in an interview with AiF.ru, named the signs of a silent stroke, Report informs.

"A silent stroke is an acute disorder of cerebral circulation, which does not entail severe clinical symptoms and is most often diagnosed retrospectively according to the brain's computed or magnetic resonance imaging," the specialist explained.

The doctor said that the disease is not always asymptomatic. The neurologist advised to pay attention to the following signs, which may indicate a similar condition:

- sudden onset of dizziness;

- gait disturbance;

- visual impairment;

- development of strabismus (a condition in which the eyes do not properly align with each other when looking at an object);

- loss of speech clarity;

- incipient facial asymmetry;

- a feeling of numbness and a sense of weakness in the limbs.

The specialist emphasized that when these symptoms appear, it is necessary to consult a doctor who, after examination, can confirm or deny the diagnosis.
