The Republic of Korea has provided medical equipment worth $500,000 to Azerbaijan, said Chairman of the Board of the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance, Zaur Aliyev, who participated in the ceremony, Report informs.
He noted that the medical equipment will be transferred to the surgery, intensive care and resuscitation departments of the Ganja City United Hospital.
Medical staff have already been trained in the use of this equipment, he added.
Zaur Aliyev noted that the equipment was provided by the South Korean government to strengthen the material and technical base of medical institutions in Azerbaijan and to more effectively combat infectious diseases.
