Report's employee elected a member of Public Council under AFSA

Public Council under the Food Safety Agency (FSA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan held elections.

Well-known civil society figures and independent experts attended the event, Report informs.

The votes were counted with the participation of the Election Commission and under the supervision of observers. According to voting results, 9 out of 16 nominated candidates were elected members of the Public Council.

The Board also includes Deputy editor-in-chief of the Report News Agency, Abbasov Parvin Akbar.

The Public Council was established under the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Public Participation," and functions voluntarily to ensure transparency of central executive bodies' activities, exercise public control, take into account public opinion in the formation of state policy, implementation, and decision-making.
