Physician names ways to recognize heart attack

Myocardial infarction has begun to occur more often in people aged 25-30 years, therefore, if signs of the disease develop, it is necessary to respond quickly and consult a doctor, Russian physician Aleksey Bezymyanny said in an interview with Zvezda TV, Report informs.

According to the specialist, any sharp pain in the chest should be a cause for concern. He noted that anti-inflammatory pain relievers should not be used in this case.

“If a patient has a sharp chest pain radiating to the left arm, and sometimes it leads to the development of a sharp cough reflex, pain radiating to the left shoulder blade, then it cannot be stopped with various analgesic anti-inflammatory drugs,” Bezymyanny said.

The physician added that in this case, the doctor must assess the patient's condition, make an electrocardiogram, and prescribe the correct treatment for the patient after excluding acute myocardial damage.

The specialist also noted that a heart attack develops due to the formation of atherosclerotic plaques in the vessels as a result of improper diet, smoking, and taking various psychoactive substances.
