People to get third Covid vaccine dose in Azerbaijan

The Scientific Medical Council of the Ministry of Health has made several decisions based on recent scientific research and vaccination experience in some countries.

Report informs that the Ministry of Health, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance, and the Management Union of the Medical Territorial Unions issued a joint statement.

According to the decision, the "Immunity Certificate" will be extended for six months if the infected and registered persons receive a single dose of any vaccine against COVID-19 used in Azerbaijan 6 months after recovery. Moreover, the "Vaccine Certificate" will be extended for six months if vaccinated citizens receive a single dose of any vaccine against COVID-19 used in Azerbaijan under the relevant medical instructions six months after the second dose.

These individuals should visit https://randevu.its.gov.az/ and queue online for coronavirus vaccination using the COVID-19 vaccine appointment.

The health authorities of Azerbaijan consider the experience of leading countries in the field of vaccination, and the positive experience of scientific innovations in COVID-19 will be added to the "Strategy of Vaccination against COVID-19 in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2021-2022."
