Next phase of TURKOVAC trials to begin in Azerbaijan

The third phase of the TURKOVAC clinical trials is starting in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing Haber Global that this was reported by the Turkish Health Ministry.

Under the report, board members of the Turkish Institutes of Health (TSE) will arrive in Baku to sign a test protocol. The protocol between TSE and the Baku Health Center will be signed on March 9, after which the clinical trials will begin.

The delegation, led by TSE President Prof. Erhan Akdogan, includes President of the Turkish Vaccine Institute Prof. Ates Kara, Head of Project Management and Support Batuhan Yesilyurt.

Azerbaijani citizens, aged 18 to 59, who have been vaccinated with two doses of the coronavirus vaccine will be able to choose the TURKOVAC vaccine as a booster dose as part of the clinical trials.
