Next meeting of health ministers of OTS member countries to be held in Shusha

The next meeting of health ministers of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States will be held in Shusha, Report informs.

The final document - Joint Declaration was adopted at the meeting of the health ministers of the member and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States held in Samarkand.

The document reflects the strengthening of cooperation of Turkic-speaking countries in the field of application of the Pharmacopoeia and Rules, as well as the provision of humanitarian and medical aid during emergency situations.

The document also included the preparation of the OTS joint Action Plan project for combating infectious diseases, a review of the possibilities of joint production of medicines and medical equipment within the framework of the Organization, and mutual recognition of diplomas issued in the field of medicine by member countries of the Organization of Turkic States.

In addition, the Declaration covers the creation of a joint network in the field of health tourism with the participation of OTS member and observer states, preparation of the Unified Medical Dictionary and other issues.

Also, a number of proposals regarding the next meeting's venue have been received. Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliyev announced that the next meeting of health ministers of OTS member countries will be held in Shusha, Azerbaijan, according to the Samarkand Declaration.

Omuraliyev also expressed confidence that the event will be successfully held in Shusha, the cultural capital of the Turkish World.
