Azerbaijan has not recorded any cases of Mpox (monkeypox) infection, the country’s Ministry of Health told Report.
The ministry assured that the epidemiological situation in the country remains under control.
Meanwhile, the African Union Health Service has declared a health emergency due to the Mpox outbreak on the continent.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has also classified the outbreak as an emergency. As per the latest WHO data, there have been 77,264 cases and 36 deaths globally, with the virus affecting 109 countries.
