A delegation of pediatricians from Israel has arrived in Baku, Report informs.
During the visit, they will examine 50 Azerbaijani children.
The visit was organized with the support of Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.
Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan George Deek noted that this initiative is an important page in relations between Azerbaijan and Israel, since children are the future of each country.
“This is a very important moment, showing the close cooperation between the countries. Last year, a delegation of Israeli doctors also came to Azerbaijan to assist in the treatment of soldiers wounded during the second Karabakh war,” the ambassador said.
Isabella Caracas, a member of the delegation that arrived in Baku, Israel’s representative to the WHO, said that she was very glad to be in Baku again, since she was born and raised in this city. She added that the current mission of Israeli doctors is very important.
“My specialty is environmental epidemiology, we will talk about research, child health, pregnancy and its stages, since the primary problems in a child begin from the womb,” she said.
